Murder is on the rise. Sexual abuse, theft, rudeness, anger, physical attacks, hatred, war of all kinds in all places, political abuse, division of every type, and on and on and on.
The oft asked question, worn out sentiment and lament.
Can't we just all get along?
The answer: NO !!! Not until people make an individual decision to get along.
It is a choice to be made every minute of everyday. It involves personal sacrifice.

I think in a way this correlates with the story I linked to from my blog, about the Monkey Sphere. Humans' brains aren't built to hold any more than 150 familiar relations with people, so anything outside that, we just don't think about. Or, so the article says. With a little bit of awareness, it's possible, I think.

You are correct!! It is possible.
The way it is possible to make a conscious decision to get along based on a spiritual principle.
All people are of the same spirit. What you do to another is going to affect you.
With that in mind constantly, doing something harmful, mean or dishonest to another is a very dumb thing to do.
You will reap what you sow is another way it has been stated.
So, If your going to do something to another, do good. You will always be glad you did.
Just the other day I "ran into" a man on the internet who runs The Human Connection Institute. It really relates to this, too, because it teaches through research that we are all linked psychologically and physiologically. If we are all linked, then damage done somewhere down the chain will inevitably cause a ripple to pass through our own chain link. More info on the HCI is at http://www.connectioninstitute.org/.
